The a cappella group Vocal Six was formed in 1988 in Helsingborg – no doubt that its current members were more than pleased to be involved in “Helsingborgs Körfestival” to take place from May 9-13, 2018. The group will sing for and with participating choirs from all over the world and will also inspire choral music lovers from Helsingborg and its surroundings.

On May 10 at 20:00 h Vocal Six will give a concert at Konserthuset as part of Helsingborg s Körfestival. Six gentlemen may sound too few, but they deliver an experience which sounds like many more voices when put together with creative arrangements and an innovative sound production. Nevertheless they still invited a female boost for the evening: the female quartet AJLA that will sing their own numbers and will also join Vocal Six on stage for 10-voice arrangements – what a massive a cappella experience you will have in one single evening! And there’s even more to it than that: There will also be a sprinkling of secret guests to spice up the concert…

Those participating in Helsingborgs Körfestival or living around the city may further take the opportunity to attend a workshop and concert with Vocal Six at the special event ”Helsingborg Sings” where they will appear on stage together with the gospel choir One Nation and conductor Jonas Engström as well as Helsingborgs Konserthuskören.
