Vox Lucensis 2026: Winners announced
Grand Prize Winner comes from the Philippines
Five days of international choral music came to a festive close in Lucca as Vox Lucensis 2026 – Concorso Corale Internazionale concluded with outstanding performances, inspiring encounters, and remarkable competition results.
From March 28 - April 1, the historic city of Lucca welcomed choirs from around the world, bringing together voices, cultures, and artistic perspectives in a shared musical experience. Throughout the festival, singers, conductors, and audiences experienced high-level performances, meaningful exchange, and the unique atmosphere of choral music in one of Italy’s most iconic cultural settings.
The final day reflected the full artistic spectrum of the event. Following the competition rounds, the focus turned to the Grand Prize Competition, where the event's best choirs were invited to present their programs once more at the highest artistic level.
After this final round, the international jury appointed the overall winner of Vox Lucensis 2026. Congratulations to:

With an outstanding performance, the choir impressed the international jury and set a remarkable artistic highlight at this year’s competition.

In addition to the competition results, the international jury awarded special distinctions:
The Conductor’s Prize was awarded to Eva Holm Foosnæs, conductor of Kammerkoret Aurum (Norway), in recognition of her outstanding artistic leadership.
A Special Award in the Youth Choirs category for the choice of repertoire, highlighting the choir’s technical and expressive abilities, was presented to Marco Amherd, conductor of Junger Kammerchor Zürich (Switzerland).
Overall, the competition reached a fantastic artistic level, with 20 Gold Diplomas, 8 Silver Diplomas, and 1 Bronze Diploma awarded across all categories.
