“Panda’s Singing” in China concludes with success
Guangzhou Children's Choir wins the Grand Prize
On the evening of August 11, 2025, the six-day PANDA'S SINGING Chengdu (International) Children’s Chorus Week - 2025 Panda Prize Choir Competition” came to a successful conclusion at the Tianfu Concert Hall in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. 21 outstanding children's choirs from China, South Korea, Malaysia, and Thailand gathered in Chengdu to build a bridge of cultural exchange through their singing, bringing a high-standard musical feast to global audiences.
After a fierce competition, the Guangzhou Children's Choir won the winner of "2025 Panda’s Singing" and received a prize of 3,000 euros for its superb singing skills and emotional expression.
Two workshops were held by Mr. Johan Rooze, Senior Artist Director of INTERKULTUR, and Prof. Su Yanhui from the School of Music of South China Normal University, focusing on topics such as "Scientific Methods for Training Children's Chorus" and "Pop and Jazz Chorus Techniques". The participating choirs also took part in the innovative "1V1 Rotating Guidance", where each conductor had a 7-minute professional dialogue with every jury to receive personalized guidance.
At the Closing ceremony, Mr. Johan Rooze conducted the performance with all the audience and choirs singing “Jasmine Flower” and “Chengdu”, encapsulating the profound message of “Singing together brings nations together.”
As a "Golden Name Card" for cultural exchanges of Chengdu, the "Panda’ Singing" has been successfully held eight times, attracting more than 100 choirs from over 20 countries to participate.
This time the corporation with INTERKULTUR made the event more standardized and international, continuously using children's voices to connect the world, and allowing different nations to learn from and resonate with each other through melodies.
