It is with great sadness that INTERKULTUR bids farewell to Prof Dr Ronald Smart, a highly respected figure in the international music and choral community and a long-standing companion of our organization.

As a musician, conductor and educator, Ronald Smart contributed to musical life for many decades, far beyond his native Australia. With his extensive experience and expertise, he served for many years as a jury member at numerous INTERKULTUR competitions, including the World Choir Games.

Ronald Smart was also a long-standing member of the World Choir Council. In this role, he supported our shared commitment to bringing people and cultures together across national borders through choral music.

INTERKULTUR will remember Ronald Smart and his many years of dedicated service with great respect and gratitude.

Our deepest sympathies go to his wife Janette, his family and all those who were close to him.
