Joy Hill is a conductor at the Royal College of Music Junior Department, London, where she conducts the senior choirs. She also directs Vigala Singers, the RCMJD alumni choir, creating many cross-cultural performance projects and bringing people together through great choral music, most recently performing at the Basilica di Santa Barbara in Mantua, Italy. Joy Hill was awarded a Winston Churchill Fellowship to study the process of choral education and choral conducting in Sweden and has worked internationally as conductor, adjudicator and guest lecturer at leading choral institutions including Yale School of Music and the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music. Formerly Senior Lecturer in Music and Music Education, University College London (IOE), a member of the Royal College of Music Centre for Performance Science and choir conductor and teacher at the Purcell School, she is renowned for her commitment to performing compositions by young students as well as premiering new choral works by leading contemporary composers.  Joy Hill is a member of the INTERKULTUR World Choir Council.

Hirvo Surva studied choir conducting at the Georg Ots Tallinn Music School under Silvia Mellik and at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre under Prof. Ants Üleoja. He has conducted at the Estonian Song Festivals, serving as Artistic Director for the 8th and 9th Youth Song Celebrations, and as the Artistic Director of the 26th Estonian Song Celebration in 2014. Hirvo Surva has been a jury member in various competitions in Estonia and abroad. He was the Chairman of the Association of Estonian Choral Conductors and became Chairman of the Estonian Choral Association in 2019. Previously a Professor in Residence at the University of Oregon, he currently teaches at Tallinn Music High School and as a Professor at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. His choirs have won several international awards, and he has been awarded twice as the best conductor at the International Choir Festival Tallinn. Surva received multiple honors, including the annual grant from the Cultural Endowment of Estonia and the Outstanding Young Person Award (TOYP) in 2002, and the Conductor of the Year Award by the Estonian Choral Association in 2003. He also received the Badge of Honour from Rakvere, an Honorary Decoration from Tallinn, and several other recognitions, including the Cultural Endowment of Estonia Award in 2008, the Gustav Ernesaks Award in 2012 and The Order of the White Star III class in 2015. In 2021, he received the music award of the Estonian Music Council for his great contribution to the choral movement.

Andris Veismanis is the Conductor of the opera house and Associate Professor at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music. He is also the Artistic Director of the chamber choir Ave Sol and the Vidzeme Chamber Orchestra. Andris Veismanis graduated from the Choir Conducting Department of the J. Vītols Latvian Academy of Music in the class of Prof. Imants Kokars, and received his Master’s degree from the class of Prof. Jānis Dūmiņš. He studied symphonic and opera conducting with Prof. Yuri Simonov and specialized in baroque music under William Christie. From 1989 to 1997, he toured with Sacrum, a chamber choir he founded, which received the Grand Prix in an international competition in Budapest for a recording of Franz Liszt’s Via crucis. From 1997 to 2006, he served as Principal Chorus Master at the Latvian National Opera, earning the Great Music Award for productions of Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas and Handel’s Alcina. The conductor has collaborated with many excellent soloists including Elīna Garanča and Montserrat Caballé all around the world. He has conducted premieres of works by many Latvian composers and recorded albums with leading musicians from the Baltic states. Furthermore, he has collaborated with various orchestras, including the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra and Kremerata Baltica. Andris Veismanis has received the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music Annual Award 2021 for outstanding pedagogical and creative work.
