INTERKULTUR supports anniversary concert in Frankfurt

Latest news

On August 13, 2025, at 7:30 PM, the festive concert "Klangbrücken" will take place at the Casals Forum in Kronberg, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and the European Union. At the invitation of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Frankfurt am Main and the Consul General Mr. Huang Yiyang, INTERKULTUR President Günter Titsch and First Vice President Wang Qin will attend this special event.

The anniversary concert uses the universal language of music as a bridge for cultural exchange and emphasizes the deep connections between China, Germany, and the European Union.

The program brings together outstanding artistic forces from China and Germany: the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) China, the hr-Sinfonieorchester, and the Chinese Community Choir in Germany. Together these ensembles are going to present a program featuring well-known Chinese works such as the "Yellow River Cantata" by Xiang Xinghai and the Chinese folk song "Jasmine Flower," as well as compositions by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Dmitri Shostakovich. "From different cultural roots, a shared symphony of encounter emerges – a sonic image of two worlds that not only entertains but also connects," says the concert announcement.

INTERKULTUR is supporting the “Klangbrücken” concert as part of the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and the European Union, recognizing it as an important contribution to German-Chinese cultural exchange. President Günter Titsch emphasizes: “Music builds trust where words reach their limits. We are pleased to support this special concert – as a symbol of friendship and cultural connection between China and Europe.”

In line with INTERKULTUR’s motto – “Singing Together Brings Nations Together” – the concert serves as a symbolic expression of the ongoing effort to build bridges between cultures. For this reason, INTERKULTUR is pleased to seize this special moment to further strengthen its commitment to global cultural dialogue.
