Moments of joy in Magdeburg: Competition results are in
Golden and Silver Diplomas awarded to choirs from around the world
Several days of choral music, international encounters and shared experiences in Magdeburg have reached one of their highlights: The competition results of the 3rd Internationales Chorfest Magdeburg have been announced at the Awards Ceremony on Saturday evening.
Choirs from different parts of the world took to the competition stages in Magdeburg, presenting their musical traditions, individual artistic profiles and carefully prepared programs to the international jury. At the end of the competitions, 11 Golden Diplomas and two Silver Diplomas were awarded.
Six category victories went to three choirs from Norway and Malaysia, with two choirs succeeding in more than one category.

For Kammerkoret Viva (Norway) and Permata Seni Koir (Malaysia), Magdeburg brought double success: Kammerkoret Viva won both the Mixed Choirs and Popular Choral Music categories, while Permata Seni Koir came out on top in the Children’s Choirs and Folklore competitions. Malaysia’s UiTM ensembles completed the list of category winners with victories in Youth Choirs and Sacred Choral Music a cappella.
Congratulations to all participating choirs, conductors and singers on their achievements in Magdeburg! Beyond the diplomas and category victories, every choir contributed its own sound and musical identity to the international atmosphere of this year’s festival.
