Corfu: Winners have been announced
After the Awards Ceremony the island is full of cheers and tears of joy
Yesterday’s and today’s competition concerts are over. The choirs presented their musical skills in the categories Children’s Choirs, Mixed, Male and Female Choir, Orthodox Music Tradition and Folklore. In the evening the international jury – consisting of Jay Clayton (USA), Byron Fidetzis (Greece), and Fred Sjöberg (Sweden) - have pointed out their ears and handed over the Diplomas as well as announced the category winners of all competitions at the Awards Ceremony in the Municipal Theatre of Corfu.
The joy was overwhelming when the results were announced. Three choirs are particularly pleased with their results:
