Preparations for the World Choir Games at the highest level
A productive cooperation between the national partners of the Russian Federation and INTERKULTUR
On the occasion of the upcoming World Choir Games in Sochi the head of the International Organizing Committee of the World Choir Games – INTERKULTUR President Günter Titsch and Vice President Wang Qin – travelled to Moscow from March 14 – 17, 2016 in order to work on the preparations of the Olympics of choral music together with the partners of the Russian Federation.
During the meeting with the Ministry of Culture on March 15, 2016, which was under the direction of the Deputy Minister of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Russian Federation, Alexander Zhuravsky, high-ranking representatives of the Russian media, the Foreign Ministry, the All Russian Choir Association, the Ministry of Transport and the City of Sochi attended the meeting in order to coordinate the further preparations of the World Choir Games 2016. Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation and the head of the national Organizing Committee, Olga Golodets, was deputized by Dmitry Wolochov, Presidential Office of the RF.
Titsch and Zhuravsky expressed their satisfaction about the excellent cooperation regarding the preparations of the Choir Olympics, which will take place in Sochi in a few months. The effort to solve each problem within a very short time, would give proof of the exemplary commitment of all parties.
On March 16, 2016 a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Transport Nikolay A. Asaul as well as with the Russian airlines "Aeroflot", "Ural Airlines" and "Sibiria" took place in the Ministry of Transport of the RF. The discussion focused on the expansion of the flight capacities and the reduction of the air fares for international choirs in July 2016.
Afterwards the parties discussed the topic of facilitations regarding the visa issuance under special agreements for participants of the World Choir Games together in the Foreign Ministry of the RF. Further information regarding this issue will follow shortly. A meeting with the national All Russian Choir Association on March 17th concluded the stay in Moscow.
