The Opening Ceremony of Sing'n'Joy Bohol 2024 was a spectacular celebration of music and culture that filled the Bohol Cultural Center with vibrant colors, captivating performances, and an atmosphere of joy and unity. With 15 choirs from 5 nations gathered for this musical event, where the city of Tagbilaran presented its vibrant cultural heritage in the spirit of “Saulog,” the Boholano tradition of celebration.

The evening began with a thrilling fanfare and a breathtaking cultural dance that set the stage for a night to remember. Participants from different nations were introduced, each bringing their unique musical heritage to this opening evening. The Dames of Harmonia from Malaysia mesmerized the audience with their harmonies, while the Holy Name University Chorale, a local favorite from the Philippines, delivered a stunning performance that reverberated throughout the venue.

Hon. Jane C. Yap, the City Mayor of Tagbilaran as well as Hon. Erico Ans Aumentado, Governor of Bohol, addressed their welcome speeches to the international participants, which will present the value cultural exchange and the unifying power of music to the city and its residents in the upcoming days.

Johan Rooze, the Artistic Director of Sing’n’Joy Bohol 2024 and Senior Artistic Director of INTERKULTUR, expressed his excitement for the days ahead and the shared musical journey awaiting all participants.
