A musical mosaic of choral sounds from around the world

LISBON SINGS from November 9 - 13, 2023 in Lisbon, Portugal

LISBON SINGS

Once the point of departure for many famous explorers in the Age of Discovery, Portugal's capital is a melting pot of epochs and cultures, combining numerous influences from the most diverse regions of the world - making it the ideal host city for INTERKULTUR's international choral competition LISBON SINGS. In addition, the city offers the participating choir singers two musical UNESCO World Heritage treasures to discover: the Portuguese musical style Fado and the choral singing "Cante Alentejano".

For the second time, Lisbon welcomes singers from all parts of the world with its heartfelt hospitality to the international choir competition LISBON SINGS from November 9 - 13, 2023. Ensembles from 16 nations and five continents will perform in eight categories in the "City of the Seven Hills" to measure their choral skills, forge new friendships and celebrate new musical discoveries together.

The Opening Concert with choirs from Estonia, Portugal and Slovenia on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 8:00 p.m. at the University of Lisbon - Aula Magna represents the choral kick-off of the event.
