Pedro Teixeira is one of Portugal’s foremost choral conductors. Between 2012 and 2018 he was the director of “Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid”, and since 2022 he has been the adjacent conductor of “Coro Casa da Música” in Porto, Portugal.

Born in Lisbon, he attained a Masters degree in Choral Conducting at Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, and has become widely known in the choral world for his insightful and sensitive performances. Since its inception in 2001, Pedro Teixeira conducts “Officium Ensemble”, an ensemble dedicated to the interpretation of renaissance Portuguese polyphony. He has performed widely with Officium Ensemble in prestigious early music festivals such as “Oude Muziek” (Utrecht) or “Laus Polyphoniæ” (Antwerp). Pedro Teixeira is also dedicated to contemporary music and, as the Director of “Coro Ricercare” since 2001, conducts several world premieres per season.

For 24 years he has been the Artistic Director of the international workshop “Evora Cathedral Music School”. Besides being a teacher at Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, he also leads several masterclasses and summer schools, and is invited regularly to adjudicate in several international choir competitions.

Since 2018, Pedro Teixeira has conducted the “Gulbenkian Choir” in several occasions and venues as guest conductor. Moreover, Pedro Teixeira has prepared choirs in collaboration with conductors such as John Nelson, Enrico Onofri, Lorenzo Viotti, Riccardo Muti and Esa-Pekka Salonen.

Prof. Dr. hab. Renata Szerafin-Wójtowicz is a professor of conducting at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. She was awarded three times for special achievements by the Mayor of Toruń and in 2017 with the bronze medal "Gloria Artis" by the Minister of Culture. In 2018, she was awarded the Silver Medal for Long Service by the President of the Republic of Poland. She conducts, among others, the children's choir "Gioia di Cantare" and the youth choir "Semper Iuvenes" of the Toruń Music School, as well as the chamber choir "Akolada" in Bydgoszcz. Renata Szerafin-Wójtowicz is an author of publications on music, participates as a speaker in national and international scientific choral music conferences, and gives lectures and workshops for conductors. She is regularly invited as a jury member to choral competitions around the world, is a consulter to the Center for Artistic Education and Artistic Council member of Polish Choirs' and Orchestras Association. She is the initiator and artistic director of the Choir Competition and Festival "Musica in Urbe". With her ensembles she has performed more than 600 concerts worldwide and won over 190 awards in choir competitions, including over 20 Grand Prix, special prizes for the best performances, 35 individual awards and a dozen Best Conductor Prizes. In addition to hundreds of a cappella works, including numerous premieres and compositions dedicated to her, she has conducted many vocal-instrumental works.

João Barros holds a master's degree in Choral Conducting and a bachelor's degree in Music Education and Choral Conducting from Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa. As an Erasmus student, he attended the Liszt Academy Kodály Intezet in Kecskemét, Hungary, where he studied Choral Conducting with László Nemes and singing with Renáta Darázs. Furthermore, he has studied choral conducting with Daniel Reuss and Kaspars Putniņš. João Barros is the founder and the artistic director of the Lisbon Choral Conducting Masterclass. In September 2017, João was invited by "World Masters in China" to lead Choral Conducting masterclasses and teach Zoltan Kodály's methodology to over 4000 music teachers and choral conductors. In 2018 João Barros founded Nova Era Vocal Ensemble. In the same year, he was awarded a scholarship by Interkultur for outstanding conducting achievements, providing him the opportunity to work with Andre Van der Merwe and the Rundfunk-Jugendchor Wernigerode.  Afterwards, he became the artistic director of Coro ISCTE. As a singer, João Barros performed as part of the Gulbenkian Choir, Officium Ensemble and Tenso Europe Chamber Choir.

Bernie Sherlock is a leading choral conductor. She founded New Dublin Voices in 2005, is Artistic Director of the Irish Youth Choir, and was co-conductor of EuroChoir 2021. She has won international conducting prizes in Finland, Germany, Hungary, Belgium, Italy, Slovenia, Wales and Ireland. Her ongoing work as adjudicator of choral and conducting competitions and director of choral workshops has taken her around Europe and to the US, Canada and China. Under Bernie, New Dublin Voices has gained critical acclaim for its innovative concert programming and its work in television, radio and recording. The choir is a multiple winner of international first prizes and has premiered approximately 70 works. Bernie is a representative for Ireland on the World Choir Council. She is a Lecturer in Music at the TU Dublin Conservatoire and for 12 years she directed and taught on the annual Sing Ireland International Choral Conducting Summer School. She has a degree in music from Trinity College Dublin, she studied in Hungary for 2 years and she has Masters and Doctorate degrees in conducting from the National University of Ireland and the Royal Irish Academy of Music/DCU respectively.

Salome Rebello is a conductor, pianist, singer, educator, and arranger. Born and raised in Mumbai India, she obtained her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Piano and Choral Conducting from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, Israel. She served as the conductor of numerous choirs, including the Jerusalem Oratorio Choir (Israel's largest choral organization) and the Singing Tree Choir Mumbai. During her time in Israel and India, Salome actively used choral singing as a tool for intercultural coexistence work and social engagement. A passionate educator, she has been involved in education for 20 years as a teacher, trainer and workshop leader including with the Israeli Ministry of Education. Recently Salome Rebello has been appointed as conductor of the award-winning ‘Ulmer Spatzen Chor’ and as head of the Singing department at the Ulm Music School, Germany. Beyond education, Salome Rebello has a keen interest in innovative performance-art.  Her last creation ‘Lullaby, Stranger’ was an immersive choral-concert and showcased in Mumbai from 2018 -2020. She presented on it at the World Choral Expo (2022) and the World Symposium for Choral Music (2023). Salome Rebello additionally holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from St. Xavier’s College Mumbai.

Donka Miteva studied Choral conducting at the State Academy of Music in Sofia and orchestral conducting at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf. She was awarded scholarships from the Richard Wagner Society, the Accademia Musicale Chigiana, the European Academy Montepulciano, and the Noel Minet Foundation. Donka Miteva worked with numerous ensembles in Germany, Denmark, Estonia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Portugal, South Africa, China a.o. From 2007 until 2011 she was a conductor and choir director at the State Opera in Münster, Germany. She was awarded the 1st Prize at the 7th Int. Competition for young conductors in St. Petersburg, best conductor at the 35th Int. Choir Competition in Varna in 2014, the 3rd Prize at the 5th Int. Conducting Competition Jeunesse Musicales in Bucharest a.o. Donka Miteva has worked as Artistic Director and conductor of Collegium Musicum Berlin since 2011 and as instructor of conducting at the University of Arts in Berlin since 2019.
