New impulses for the German choral scene, a new competition concept, enthusiasm for choirs and audience alike: The German Choir Championships have moved a lot in recent months and the anticipation was great. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has also severely limited the premiere of this new series of events. But the choir year 2020 should not end quietly and silently!

In accordance with the recommendations of the Federal Government as well as the regulations of the federal states and cities, in which the participating choirs are currently only able to rehearse to a very limited extent, the event concept had to be adapted, but we are happy to be able to give the choir music a stage in Koblenz in November.

On November 8th, the German Choir Championships will start with an opening event - a gala concert - organized jointly by the Vokalensemble amarcord and the Landesjugendchor Hessen. This highlight will be followed, as soon as the development of the pandemic makes it possible, by a series of exclusive qualification and advisory events "Jury-On-Tour" for the German choral scene in various German states, which will bring together choirs from all over Germany for the German Choral Championships 2021 on November 5-7, 2021 in Koblenz!
