Málaga: Between land and beach

Andalusian metropolis offers a wide range of cultural and leisure activities

Canta en Primavera - Festival Coral Internacional

We have already noticed that INTERKULTUR events on the seaside, like "Canta al mar", are particularly popular, due to the high number of participants. For this reason, the choir festival "Canta en Primavera - Sing in Spring" invites to Málaga, Spain for the third time from April 26-30, 2017.

The beautiful city of Málaga at the Costa del Sol combines the advantages of a vibrant metropolis and the comfort of the surrounding landscape. With its approximately 570,000 inhabitants, Málaga is the largest city of Andalusia after Seville.

From beach walks to hikes in the nearby highlands of Montes de Málaga, from the discovery tour through the birthplace of Pablo Picasso to shopping tours in the old town, the metropolis gives its guests a deep insight into the Andalusian way of life. This versatility of the province of Málaga is a reason for international guests to spend their next holiday in Andalusia. Especially since the region is characterized by very pleasant temperatures. During the year it will hardly be below 12 degrees. While it is still cold and dark in other European countries in spring, Màlaga in March is already enjoying temperatures around 20 degrees.

Culture lovers from all over the world feel right at home in Málaga. One of the most important museums, the "Museo Picasso", is dedicated to Pablo Picasso, born in Málaga in 1881. Over 200 of the artist’s works provide insight into the different periods of his creativity. Another sight is the Cathedral of Santa Iglesia Catedral Basílica de la Encarnación, a mosque reformed by the Christians. The cathedral is also called La Manquita ( "small one-armed lady"), because it has only one instead of two towers for financial reasons.

Málaga’s surrounding area is also worth a visit. Close by are well known and charming destinations such as Seville, Granada, Marbella with the great yacht harbor Puerto Banús or the Andalusian towns of Ronda and Nerja. A day trip through the Andalusian hinterland with a closing dinner at one of the numerous beaches of the Costa del Sol concludes in an exciting and adventurous holiday.

Málaga, a unique city and the perfect place to make voices from all over the world resound. Here you can find out more about participation and registration for the choir festival "Canta en Primavera". Registration deadline is December 12, 2016!
