The Kongress & TheaterHaus Bad Ischl is the most modern event centre of the Salzkammergut region. It is situated in the centre of the imperial town, surrounded by greenery of the Spa-Park, in front of a spectacular mountain panorama.

Colorful summer flowers, roses and shrub rarities bloom in the magnificent spa gardens, which frame the Kongress & TheaterHaus. In the spring and summer months the garden invites you to linger and provides a great stage for cultural events and exchange with its recently renovated bandstand.

The remarkable 72-meter-high spire juts out into the sky above St. Nikolaus Parish Church. In the interior of the church there are numerous artistic treasures that strike the eye, including frescoes, altarpieces, a carved version of the stations of the cross and, above all, the "Kaiser-Jubiläums-Orgel", a unique masterpiece of an organ nowhere else to be found in Austria.

The architectural design of the "Trinkhalle" is reminiscent of an ancient Greek temple and was originally used as a brine bath house. It was created by Franz Lössl and features, among other things, a beautiful foyer. Construction work began in 1829, followed by the opening two years later. The elegant and spacious interior provides ample room as it measures almost 80 meters in length. It consequently served as pump room and lobby for the guests and patients at the spa that came here to drink the waters. Later, a stage was installed for the spa orchestra to entertain the guests, and today the "Trinkhalle" is a treasured all-round venue for a wide variety of different concerts and events.

Since 1985 the k.u.k. Hofbeisl has been a popular spacious pub and meeting place with a wide-ranging cultural program right in the center of Bad Ischl. In 2024, the k.u.k. Hofbeisl will open its restaurant garden for the first time for performances by international choirs at the festival.

Eva Holm Foosnæs is a Norwegian conductor, composer and freelance-pianist. She is educated from NTNU University of Trondheim, Conservatorio di Musica di Perugia, and Robert Schumann Hochschule für Musik.
She is the artistic director of the unique consept Opera di Setra, Tylldalspelet, choirmaster of Opera Trøndelag and she conducts the awarded chamber choir ʺKammerkoret Aurumʺ which specializes in Scandinavian contemporary music. This choir has achieved 7 gold medals in high-level competitions in 3 years along with 2 special prizes for the best perfomance of contemporary music.
As composer, Eva is focused on the human voice, and she is very occupied with musical theatre and opera.
Eva and Kammerkoret Aurum hold the title ʺBest choir of Norwayʺ in 2024/2025.

During his music education studies, Sebastian Meixner discovered his passion for choral music, leading to the founding of his choir "nota bene" in 2007. After studying choral conducting with Johannes Prinz, he refined his skills in international masterclasses and workshops with Robert Sund (Sweden), Anders Jalkéus (Sweden), Alois Glaßner (Austria) and others.
Since 2014, he has been the conductor of the highly acclaimed Styrian State Youth Choir "Cantanima", which has earned numerous awards in national and international competitions. In 2019, at the international choir competition "Ave Verum" in Baden/Wien, Cantanima secured the 1st place, best program, and additional special prizes.
As the artistic director of "Camerata Styria", Sebastian Meixner has led various projects with Styriarte and renowned artists, collaborating with Jordi Savall, Stephanie Houtzeel, Andreas Stoehr, and Philipp Scheucher, among others.
His activities extend to premiering works by contemporary composers, adding depth to his artistic pursuits.
He teaches at the University of the Arts in Graz and is a lecturer at teacher and choir director trainings, workshops, and seminars across Austria.

Hailed "the coolest thing to happen to vocal music" British musician Rachel Walker Mason is a highly regarded a cappella coach and judge. Rachel has judged for NTA nominated Sing: Ultimate A Cappella, the CARA awards, The ICCAs, The Voice Festival, the World Choir Games and many others.
Rachel is a GRAMMY voting member, the recipient of a prestigious British Citizen Award for contribution to the arts, and was named "a songwriting expert" by BBC Radio Four’s Today Programme.
The writer of new British musical "The Circle" and winner of the Stiles and Drewe Best New Song Prize 2023, Rachel is currently writing songs with Grammy, Emmy and Ivor Novello award winners, The Voice UK and American Idol alumni and Oscar nominees.
Rachel is also a mentor for The GRAMMYs, Help Musicians and the Ivor Novello Academy.
Named a Woman Of The Year 2020, the only British musician to be inducted into the Indie Music Hall Of Fame, and hailed "an inspiration" by Prince Harry, Rachel is the youngest person to be made a Fellow of the London College of Music by Professional Achievement and is one of the British representatives for the World Choir Council.
