Sochi shines in bright colors again

The Parade of Nations marks traditionally the beginning of the second part of the World Choir Games. All choirs will gather in the streets of the host city and showcase themselves and their culture to inhabitants and visitors. It’s their special way to thank the hosts for their outstanding hospitality towards their international guests.

In Sochi, the Parade of Nations will happen today, July 12, before tomorrow the second part of the World Choir Games will start with further competitions in different categories.

Choirs will gather for the parade at the Winter Theater at 16:30 h before they start parading through the streets of Sochi at 18:00 h. The international singers will march waving their national flags, wearing national costumes and singing out their traditional songs loud. It’s a cheerful sight and intercultural experience for everyone who will gather at the side of the road to watch all those international, high-spirited people. The parade is supposed to end around 8:00 PM in front of the magnificent backdrop of the Southern Pier.

Starting tomorrow Sochi will be full of choral sounds again. Again choirs will compete in a various range of competition categories for Golden, Silver and Bronze Diplomas and Medals at seven different venues scattered in whole Sochi. The second Awards Ceremony will happen in the morning of Saturday, July 16 and crown once again the World Choir Games Champions 2016.
