Tickets for the Grand Prix of Nations are now available

Experience first-class choir music from Argentina, China, Finland, Mexico, Germany and many other nations on stage of the Chamber Music Hall of the Berliner Philharmonie!

From February 1-5 INTERKULTUR and the renowned Berlin Radio Choir invite to the Grand Prix of Nations Berlin 2017, a competition for the best amateurs in the world.

The Opening Concert on February 1 at 8 pm will offer a first taste of the upcoming concerts. There can be heard a first selection of ensembles, determined by the Artistic Committee of the event, as well as Eriks Ešenvald’s "Hymn" for choir a cappella.

In addition to free Friendship Concerts in the St. Matthäus Church Berlin, where choirs and the public will enjoy intercultural encounters, we are looking forward to a two-level competition, which allows the choirs’ qualification in a higher competition, called the Grand Prix of Nations. From a range of altogether seven categories – Children's Choirs, Youth Choirs, Chamber Choirs/Vocal Ensembles, Mixed Choirs, Male and Female Choirs, Musica Sacra, Musica Contemporanea and Folklore – an international jury will select the best among the best.

As the crowning end of the Grand Prix of Nations, the participants of the Sing Along Workshop, the Berlin Radio Choir and the Winners of the Grand Prix of Nations will present a choral concert at its best on February 4 at 5:00 and 8:00 pm.
