Competition, Concerts and Sing’n’Joy Festival Stage Choir in honor of Anton Bruckner

Anton Bruckner Choir Competition and Festival

Already for the 6th time the city of Linz in Austria will host the International Anton Bruckner Choir Competition & Festival (June 14-18, 2017), an event dedicated to the composer whose oeuvre is among the most significant and precious works produced in the Romantic period.

Venues of international renown, such as the Brucknerhaus, the new cathedral Linz (Mariendom) and the world famous monastery St. Florian with its high baroque marble hall, will welcome choirs from all over the world in a full-option event.

Apart from the opportunity to take part in the competition or other non-competitive activities, we are very happy to bring a very special project to the event - the Sing'n'Joy Festival Stage Choir. All singers will get together in a festive performance of Anton Bruckner’s Mass No 1 in D Minor (Kyrie, Gloria and Credo) with the Cathedral Choir and Orchestra. This amazing singing project will be conducted by Josef Habringer, the Cathedral Chapel Master of Linz. Be there to witness the magic!

More information about the 6th International Anton Bruckner Choir Competition and Festival can be found on the official website and on facebook. The registration deadline for choirs ends on January 16, 2017.
