"And every beginning has an inner magic," the German poet Hermann Hesse said in a verse. And this magic of a new beginning of singing together, experiencing together and celebrating together after the rigid restrictions imposed by Corona will become reality in Canta al mar - Festival Coral Internacional from 22nd to 26th October 2020. Corona-compliant safety measures and security concepts make the popular choir event in Callela possible; the event has been restructured accordingly, so that the competition part is omitted. 

Canta al mar will thus take place in 2020 as a true festival, with the focus on togetherness and a shared festival experience in Spain. For this reason, the events, such as friendship concerts with choirs from different countries, will take place in open-air venues such as the Pati de l'Òs in Parc Dalmau, Plaça di Iglesia (church square) and Plaça de l'Ajuntament (town hall square), so that singing together and a united experience and enjoyment of choral music will be possible for all singers, guests and choral music fans.  In addition, the Catalan conductor Daniel Mestre offers various educational activities as part of the Canta al mar 2020 festival.
