New movement in the INTERKULTUR World Rankings
New climbs, strong debuts and significant changes in the individual rankings after the World Choir Games 2026
The results of the World Choir Games 2026 have brought fresh movement to the INTERKULTUR World Rankings. Especially some young voices made an immediate impact.
The highest new entry in the global Top 1000 belongs to the Hangzhou Children’s Art Troupe Choir from China. Following its victory in the Children’s Choirs category in Helsingborg, the ensemble enters the ranking directly at No. 18 in the list of the Top 1000 choirs.
Other strong newcomers include Sweden’s En Kör at No. 81 and Canada’s Cantilon Chamber Choir at No. 111.
Voices of Youth from China, the World Choir Games Champion in Pop Ensembles, makes its debut at No. 119.
A new Top 3 among the Children’s Choirs
The latest results have also reshaped the leading positions in the Children’s and Youth Choirs ranking of the 50 best choirs: Guangzhou Little Petrel Children’s Choir from China retains the No. 1 position after winning two Champions titles at the World Choir Games in Helsingborg.
Chengdu Philharmonic Children’s Choir (China) moves up to second place. The Tygerberg Children’s Choir from South Africa and the newly ranked Hangzhou Children’s Art Troupe Choir from China now share third place with the same number of points. ByeZoo Choir, also from China and winner of the Youth Choirs of Equal Voices category, makes a notable move in this list from 43rd to 19th place.
In the list of the 50 best Folklore choirs, there's also a new leader: Guangzhou Little Petrel Children’s Choir rises from second to first place after winning the Folklore and Indigenous Music a cappella category at the World Choir Games 2026.

The INTERKULTUR World Rankings are based on the artistic results achieved at INTERKULTUR competitions. Competition level, category or special achievements all contribute to a choir’s ranking points.
