Internationales Chorfest Magdeburg 2026

September 16–20, 2026 | Magdeburg, Germany

In collaboration with the Saxony-Anhalt Choral Association and the City of Magdeburg, INTERKULTUR invites choirs from all over the world to join a festival that unites musical excellence and cultural exchange. Held for the third time, this event offers competitive and non-competitive formats designed to foster international friendship and artistic growth.

  • International choir competition with new “Pop” categories
  • Friendship concerts and joint performances with local choirs
  • Individual Coachings & Evaluation Performances
  • Performances in iconic venues like the Gesellschaftshaus and the Johanniskirche

#125StundenChor – The World Record Challenge

September 21–26, 2026 | ATZE Musiktheater, Berlin

In celebration of its 125th anniversary, the Chorverband Berlin is organizing a world record attempt: 125 hours of non-stop choral singing! From Monday, September 21, 13:00 h to Saturday, September 26, 18:00 h, the stage belongs to you! You are invited to book one of the 30min singing slots which will make 125 hours of uninterrupted singing possible! 

Choirs that have registered for the Internationales Chorfest Magdeburg are especially invited to travel to Berlin right after the event to participate in this record-breaking continuous choral event and to enjoy some special benefits!

Choirs that register for the International Chorfest Magdeburg via INTERKULTUR will get some special advantages, if they decide to join the #125StundenChor in Berlin right afterwards:

  • Free participation in the #125StundenChor Berlin
  • Attractive, guaranteed Singing Slots in the #125StundenChor project in the afternoon of Monday, September 21
  • Extended choir experience after the Internationales Chorfest Magdeburg by additional and exciting days in Berlin including sightseeing and cultural experiences
