The successful SING FOR GOLD - The World Choral Cup competition format is growing and will be presented in additional cities around the world. Having started in Calella and Barcelona in 2022, SING FOR GOLD is opening new stages for choirs seeking high-level performance opportunities.

As first step on the way of expansion, Riga, Latvia, will once again welcome the international choral community next year. From October 7 to 11, 2027, the city will host SING FOR GOLD – The World Choral Cup as the first destination outside Catalonia (Spain), bringing together ensembles from across the globe.

Riga offers an exceptional environment for this event. The Latvian capital is known for its strong choral tradition, internationally respected conductors, and a repertoire that has found its place in concert programs worldwide. Combined with excellent concert venues and professional infrastructure, the city provides ideal conditions for an international competition of this level.

The event is open to non-professional choirs of all genres and includes a wide range of competition categories. Performances are evaluated by an international jury based on the MUSICA MUNDI system. The best choirs of each category qualify for the final round of the World Choral Cup, where they compete for the overall title.

Beyond the competition, participating choirs can take part in Evaluation Performances, Individual Coaching sessions, and Friendship Concerts. These formats offer valuable artistic feedback and create opportunities for exchange between ensembles from different musical and cultural backgrounds.
