Sarawak 2025: The Results

First International Choir Competition Sarawak concludes with emotional Awards Ceremony

After days filled with inspiring performances, cultural exchange, and the sound of voices from across the globe, the International Choir Competition Sarawak 2025 has concluded with great joy and celebration in Kuching, Malaysia.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all choirs for their remarkable performances, musical passion, and the wonderful sense of unity they brought to this international event. Together, they made Sarawak a place where cultures meet through music.

With outstanding artistic excellence, Vocalista Angels from Indonesia, under the direction of  Yason Christy Pranowo, achieved the highest score in this year’s competition with 27,83 points in the Folklore category. Warmest congratulations on this success!

Results Sarawak 2025

A Special Prize for Outstanding Collaborative Accompaniment was given to Ms. Youngseo Park, pianist of the choir Seoul Female Union Choral from the Republic of Korea. Further, the soloist Lanie S. Ruiz from the choir Leyte Normal University Philharmonic Singers from the Philippines received a Special Prize for the Solo Performance in "Ama Niamo". 

Our sincere thanks go to all choirs, conductors, jury members, volunteers, and local partners in Sarawak whose efforts and hospitality made this event an unforgettable celebration of voices and cultures.
