In 2019 choirs will meet once again for a non-competitive singing experience in the Swedish capital: As a city where choral traditions are rooted deeply, Stockholm makes an ideal choral destination.

For the event’s 2019 edition (May 9-12) we’re happy to have the cooperation of Bengt Ollén, one of the most renowned names of choral music, as our Artistic Host for the event. He has already shared some great ideas and insights with us in order to make this event a true Swedish choral experience.

One of the program highlights will be for sure the “Welcoming Concert” on Thursday, May 9, 2019: One of the oldest school in Stockholm (founded in 1672), “Stockholms Musikgymnasium” - or as it is locally known “Kungsholmens gymnasium” - will open its doors to the ON STAGE participants. What is more, the international choirs will be joined by the “Stockholms Musikgymnasium Chamber Choir”, one of the most awarded Swedish choirs under the guidance of Helene Stureborg. The choir has been a regular winner of Gold Medals and has also had tours with Andrea Boccelli.
