All competitions and concerts at a glance
Today the citizens and choral friends from Sochi and its surrounding have the chance to listen to numerous competitions such as in the categories “Young Children Choirs” (11 a.m. Winter Theater and Sea Galaxy), “University and College Choirs” (11:30 a.m. Hall Chayka) as well as “Folklore with accompaniment” (7 p.m. Culture House Adler) and “Music of Spirit and Faith & Spiritual” (7:30 p.m. Winter Theater).
Furthermore two very interesting workshops will take place. 11 a.m. with Felix Nassi (Benin) about the singing traditions and imitations of animals in Africa and at 3 p.m. with María Felicia Pérez (Cuba) about the Cuban music between tradition and the modern times.
At seven different places Friendship Concerts which will all start at 7 p.m. in Sochi the choirs from all over will bring the city to sound and are looking forward to an intercultural exchange.
You also have the chance to listen to outstanding choirs from China, Venezuela, Russia and Indonesia during the Celebration Concert “Voices of the World” this evening at 8 p.m. in the Concert Hall “Festivalny”.
