ON STAGE Barcelona goes to Calella
Do you remember the last Canta al mar – Festival Coral Internacional in Calella in fall 2016? 49 choirs from 24 different nations were there and made the coastal city of Calella and the world metropolis of Barcelona resound ... A four-day-long ear-candy!
And now... Imagine visiting the two destinations in June 2017, discovering the treasures of both cities, giving concerts in a relaxed setting and learning from local choral musicians – and all without the pressure of a competition!
ON STAGE in Barcelona makes it possible. In addition to a discovery tour through Barcelona and concerts in wonderful churches and public places, you will sing together with local choirs on the stages of "Canta al mar" during an excursion to Calella. A workshop with INTERKULTUR's long-term friend Óscar Boada offers you a deep insight into the choral music traditions of Catalonia.
