World Choir Games 2026 Results: The Champions Competition – Part I
The first Champions of the 14th World Choir Games have been crowned in Helsingborg
They came to Helsingborg ready to compete at the highest level, and today their outstanding performances were rewarded: The first Champions of the World Choir Games 2026 have been crowned!
This morning, choirs from around the world gathered for the second Awards Ceremony of the Games to celebrate the results of The Champions Competition and one of the most prestigious achievements in international competitive choral singing.
Over the past days, experienced choirs have presented ambitious competition programs on the stages of Helsingborg, performing before international juries and demonstrating the passion, precision and artistry behind their music.
The Champions Competition is the highest level of competition in the World Choir Games. It brings together choirs with proven experience and achievements in national and international choral competitions. Their performances are evaluated by a jury of seven international music experts, with Bronze, Silver and Gold Medals awarded according to the World Choir Games Evaluation System.
For the highest-scoring Gold Medal choir in each category, there is an even greater distinction: the title “Champion of the World Choir Games.”

World Choir Games 2026 - Results - Part I
With the first Champions crowned, the competitions take a short break, but the spirit of the World Choir Games continues throughout Helsingborg.
On August 11, one of the most meaningful events of these Games awaits: the PEACE Concert at St. Maria Kyrka. Five choirs from different parts of the world will come together for an evening that puts friendship, understanding and the connecting power of singing at its heart.
And on August 12, it is time to welcome the next wave of singers to Helsingborg. The Parade of Nations will bring choirs, flags, music and the colors of cultures from around the world into the streets of the city and officially open the second part of the World Choir Games 2026.
New choirs. New performances. New friendships. And, of course, more Champions waiting to be crowned.
