Kia ora World Choir Games 2024!
Announcing the destination for 13th World Choir Games
The 13th World Choir Games will take place in July 2024 and INTERKULTUR reveals the host city earlier than ever before:
Auckland in New Zealand will be the destination for singers from all around the world allowing them to discover a new continent with the World Choir Games!
According to Günter Titsch, President of INTERKULTUR and the World Choir Games this news reaches the choral world at the right time: “In times of great uncertainty for choral music around the world, it’s my huge pleasure to already announce the World Choir Games 2024 and provide the choral world with the best possible planning dependability for the future. The 13th World Choir Games in New Zealand will give singers from all over the world new confidence and an exciting goal to approach with new motivation. In 2024 we will break new ground and look forward to bringing our event to this unique region of the world, which is known for its breathtaking nature and impressive Māori culture.”
Auckland, New Zealand is the perfect mix of city sophistication and a stunning natural playground. At the heart of it all is New Zealand’s unique Māori culture – its manaakitanga (warm hospitality) is central to the country’s identity and extends to how World Choir Games participants will experience the region.
The website of the 13th World Choir Games Auckland 2024 has been recently launched with more details at www.wcg2024.com.
Further editions of the World Choir Games will happen in Flanders (Belgium) in July 2021 and Gangneung (Republic of Korea) in July 2022.
