O Holy Night

Today we would like to present the well-known Christmas carol “O holy night”. Composed in 1847 the song was published in two languages. Both versions, in English and in French, reflect the birth of Jesus and the redemption of humanity. Till this day the Christmas carol was covered countless times, among others by popular singers such as Mariah Carey, Bing Crosby or Whitney Houston.

But as polyphonic arrangement the song has the greatest impression. Therefore we picked out the interpretation of the English choir Libera. The angel-like boy’s voices give the carol an especially holy character. Enjoy the Christmassy sounds!
