The new INTERKULTUR World Ranking is out!

Now including results from seven previous events

World Rankings

Sing’n’Joy Princeton (USA), Voices for Peace (Assisi/Italy), Canta en Primavera (Málaga/Spain), Vietnam International Choir Competition (Hoi An/Vietnam), Anton Bruckner Choir Competition & Festival (Linz/Austria), Int. Johannes Brahms Choir Festival & Competition (Wernigerode/Germany) and the Grand Prix of Nations Riga 2017 & European Choir Games: At all of these events participating choirs achieved excellent results during the past few months.

The update of the INTERKULTUR World Rankings in August 2017 now includes all of these and affects the choirs’ placings.

The highest-ranking newcomer is the Children and Youth Studio “Gaismina” from Latvia. Becoming a double Champion at the European Choir Games 2017 (“Chamber Choirs / Vocal Ensembles” and “Folklore a cappella” categories) the choir was directly placed in the Top 10 and is now ranking #8 among the 1000 best choirs.

The choir shares the 8th place currently with the Children’s Choir “Alye Parusa” from Russia that was also very successful: The choir made the biggest leap forward – their victories in Riga at the European Choir Games (“Musica Sacra with accompaniment” category) and at the Grand Prix of Nations (“Children’s Choirs” and “Musica Sacra with accompaniment” categories) catapulted the choir from rank 57 directly to the top 10. Looking at the individual list of the 50 best „Children’s Choirs“, the choir even ranks #2 now.
