World Choir Games 2024: Results of The Champions Competition

12 new World Choir Games Champions were crowned in Spark Arena

At the second Awards Ceremony of the World Choir Games 2024, choirs that competed in The Champions Competition over the past few days gathered at Spark Arena this morning to hear the competition results and celebrate the announcement of 12 new World Choir Games Champions.

The atmosphere was electric with joy and excitement as the winning choirs took the stage to sing their national anthems and watch their flags rise high.

We’re thrilled to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the first Champions of the World Choir Games 2024:

The highest points in the competitions so far were achieved by the vocal ensemble Ungklang from Denmark with a total of 96.25 points in the “Youth Choirs” Category, followed by the Festival Statesmen Chorus from Australia with 95.50 points in the “Sacred Choral Music a cappella” Category and Diocesan Boys’ School Choir from China / Hong Kong SAR with 94.38 points achieved in “Contemporary Music – Equal Voices”. Congratulations!

We’re now looking forward to the General Conference of the World Choir Council on July 15 and the Opening of the second part of the World Choir Games with the Parade of Nations through Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland’s city center.
