Blind choir moves the audience to tears

Dream of the 'The Changsha Dream of Wings Blind Children's Choir' comes true

World Choir Games 2016

Yesterday the audience of the competition concert "Mixed Youth Choirs" in the District Culture House in Adler witnessed a heart-felt performance of the Changsha Dream of Wings Blind Children’s Choir from China. All young singers are the blind students from Changsha Special Education School.

Two years ago the INTERKULTUR Artistic Director Fred Sjöberg and Xu Qian, Communication Manager from INTERKULTUR China had visited the choir in its hometown Changsha. At that time the young singers spoke about their dream becoming part of the largest international Choir Competition, the World Choir Games, and to experience cultures and choral music from all over in Sochi. The dream has now turned into reality.

In these days amateur choirs and choirs with handicap, such as Changsha Dream of Wings Blind Children’s Choir, are singing together in Sochi and present top-class choral music. The World Choir Games offer the chance to all choirs being part of it and unite singers from all over the world.
