Jeugdkoor Waelrant from Belgium wins the Vox Lucensis Choir Prize 2025

Vox Lucensis - Concorso Corale Internazionale

Days full of music, heartfelt performances, and unforgettable choral encounters has drawn to a close in the historic Tuscan city of Lucca. The fourth edition of Vox Lucensis – Concorso Corale Internazionale has officially concluded, and the winners of this year’s competition have been revealed.

More than 20 choirs from across Europe came together to sing, connect, and celebrate their shared passion for choral music. With categories ranging from Musica Sacra a cappella to Children's Choirs or Chamber Choirs & Vocal Ensembles, the event showcased the remarkable diversity and talent within today’s international choral scene.

The Grand Prize, the Vox Lucensis Choir Prize 2025 was awarded to Jeugdkoor Waelrant from Belgium. Their performances captivated both the international jury and the audience. Their excellent performances earned them the highest accolade of the competition. Congratulations!

During the Prizegiving Ceremony a total of 12 Golden Diplomas, 6 Silver Diplomas and 2 Bronze Diplomas were handed over to the international choirs, who cheered for each other full of joy and appreciation.

A Special Prize was given to Voices - Landesjugendchor Vorarlberg from Austria “for a uniquely expressive and powerful dramaturgy in the overall performance”. 

The Conductor's Prize was awarded to Yana Deliradeva, conductor of The Detska Kitka Choir from Bulgaria.
