Sing Along Concert

The Sing Along Concert 2026 brought together singers and music lovers from around the world for an extraordinary performance of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Requiem in Málaga.

A total of 375 singers from 40 nations took part in the project, joining the WDR Rundfunkchor, the Orquesta Sinfónica Provincial de Málaga, and an outstanding team of soloists: soprano Benita Borbonus, alto Cordelia Katharina Weil, tenor Stefan Sbonnik, and bass-baritone Manfred Bittner. Under the direction of renowned conductor Simon Halsey, they presented Mozart's masterpiece before an enthusiastic audience.

Including performers and audience members, around 700 people gathered for this special musical event, making it one of the highlights of the festival week in Málaga.

Following several days of rehearsals, the international ensemble delivered a moving performance that demonstrated the power of choral music to connect people across cultures and borders. For many participants, the concert was far more than a musical achievement. It was an opportunity to become part of a truly international choir and share an unforgettable experience with fellow singers from around the globe.

The emotional impact of the evening was reflected in the feedback received after the concert. One participant wrote on social media: "What a fantastic experience! Thank you, everyone for making last night’s concert such a brilliant and very special experience!"

The Sing Along Concert once again showed how music can bring people together, creating friendships, memories, and inspiring moments that will remain long after the final note has faded.
