UPDATE of the INTERKULTUR World Rankings

A new choir leads the list of the best “Male Choirs”

World Rankings

The World Choir Games 2018 set the INTERKULTUR World Rankings of the best choirs in motion and rewards the excellent results of the choirs. The TOP 1000 list as well as the individual lists come up with some exciting changes: The highest new entry secured place 3 in the list of the best 1000 choirs at first attempt and also the list of the best Male Choirs has a new leader.

There are four choirs whose outstanding results in the World Choir Games 2018 become especially notable in the overall list of the 1000 best choirs:

The Aeolians of Oakwood University (USA) – double Champion of the World Choir Games 2018 in the “University and College Choirs” and “Spiritual” categories – newly joined the list and directly made it to rank #3. Other high new entries are the World Choir Games first timer ONE Chamber Choir from Singapore (Rank #18) and Drakensberg Boys’ Choir (South Africa), which newly ranks #38 in the list of TOP 1000. Tygerberg Children’s Choir from South Africa, who also won two Champions titles at this year’s World Choir Games moved up in the list from rank 40 to #4.

The individual list of the best Male Choirs now has even a new leader ranking first: Diocesan Boys’ School Choir (China / Hong Kong SAR) is the new No.1 and delegated the former no.1 – The Orthodox Male Choir “Armonia” (Romania) – to second place.

The updated INTERKULTUR World Rankings still have more surprises in store. Check out the new list here and find out where your choir is ranked now!
