Sing'n'Pray Kobe

In 2024, Sing’n’Pray Kobe in Japan will be back! For the third time this event will mark a hopeful start to a new choral year – a joyful celebration of peace through singing.

Come and be part of the 3rd Sing’n’Pray Kobe International Choir Competition & Festival
from January 25-29, 2024 in Kobe, Japan

The core of "Sing'n'Pray Kobe 2024" will be – as always – the great "Pray from Kobe" concert with more than 600 singers coming together in the beautiful Kobe Bunka Hall.

Since 2012 the participants in this concert are singing and praying in this concert for the victims of the huge earthquake and tsunami around Fukushima on the east side of Japan in March 2011.

In 2024 international choirs are once again invited to join this significant celebration and sing and pray for the people and for peace on earth. The affiliated choir competition gives national and international participants the chance to compete and sing together in a peaceful contest, which will be supplemented by two additional competition categories in 2024: Children’s and Youth Choirs as well as Adult Choirs are called to present their unique talents in the category “Open Repertoire”.

Along with the unique framework and character of “Sing’n’Pray Kobe” also the host city of the event is one of the most fascinating places in Japan. Kobe is its sixth-largest city and is located in the Bay of Osaka against a terrific mountain backdrop.

“Sing’n’Pray Kobe” is waiting for you! Join in, come to Kobe and “Sing’n’Pray” with us, as hardly any sentence is more true than that of St. Augustine: “Those who sing pray twice!”
