Do you hear the people sing?

Great atmosphere and temperament in Bad Ischl

Int. Choir Competition & Festival Bad Ischl

Yesterday three wonderful Friendship Concerts took place in the heart of Bad Ischl. No one in the Trinkhalle cared about the dark cloud cover outside. The choirs from amongst others Estonia, Japan, Czech Republic and from the host country Austria presented a varied concert program from calm folklore songs and to well-known pop songs. One could feel the enthusiasm jumping over from the choirs to the audience.

Besides the cute ABBA showcase the "Seisen High School Choir" from Japan performed classical choral compositions as well as the famous song "Do you hear the people sing" from the musical Les Miserables. The young singers have truly enchanted the audience with their wide range of choral music.

From deep bass to countertenor, the smart singers of the ensemble "Vokalisten Kärnten" impressed their audience with classical as well as popular choral music. However, the performance of a Carinthian song was especially touching. Therewith the singer expressed their love of their homeland.

Also the lively performances of the Estonian Men’s Choir "Tartu Akadeemiline Meeskoor" will stay in the memory of the audience for a long time. The singers were really great and infected the audience with their joy of singing.

But to cut a long story short – the Friendship Concerts were a true success from both a musical and cultural point of view. Watch some videos in our playlist on Youtube and let us infect you by the great atmosphere.
