Performance of a choir

A festival of choral music comes to an end

Award Ceremony and Closing Concert of Sing’n’Joy Provo

Sing'n'Joy Provo

After the competition concerts, workshops and many musical highlights, such as yesterday’s concert of the "BYU Men’s Chorus", we are looking forward to announce the results of the competitions. The Award Ceremony of the Festival Sing’n’Joy Provo will take place at 12 a.m. in the "Covey Center for the Arts".

In the afternoon at 2:30 p.m. the choral lovers will have the chance once again to experience the choirs from near and far during a Friendship Concert. Located in the heart of Provo the "Provo Community Congregational United Church of Christ" will offer a warm atmosphere.

One of the artistic highlights will be the Closing Concert of the Sing'n'Joy Festival this evening, which will take place at 5 p.m. at the "De Jong Concert Hall". Under the direction of artistic directors, Rosalind Hall and Fred Sjöberg, the festival choir, accompanied by the BYU Philharmonic Orchestra, will present a varied concert program with music by Leonard Bernstein, Antonín Dvořák, and Ēriks Ešenvalds. The Festival choir consists of approximately 500 singers of the following choirs: Forever Praise, The Choral Arts Society of Utah, Brigham Young University Singers, BYU Concert Choir, BYU Women's Chorus and BYU Men's Chorus.

We are looking forward to listen to the mass choir at the Closing Concert.
