World Peace Singers – Concert for Peace

Choirs from four continents share their songs with the world

World Choir Games 2023

Music has the power to bring people together, to make them understand each other beyond all borders, language barriers or origins. Music is emotional and connects people through the emotions and feelings they have while listening to and singing the songs.

That’s the reason while singing is and has always been used to create peace among peoples and express the wishes of humans to live together in peace and harmony.

In current times the need of creating such messages for world peace have become more and more important. That’s why INTERKULTUR is continuing its 2022 concert series for peace and presents the second Peace Concert today.

The date for publication is not a coincidence. Today, on July 3, 2022 it’s exactly one year to go until the Opening Ceremony of the 12th World Choir Games Gangneung 2023. Since its foundation in the year 2000 the World Choir Games have been aiming to bring together choirs from all over the world in a peaceful competition and thus to contribute to peace in the world. The Artistic Director of the Peace Concert is Fred Sjöberg, Artistic Director of INTERKULTUR and Vice President of the World Choir Council.

All conductors of the participating choirs are members of the World Choir Council, representing their respective country and continent.

For this reason, we are sending a symbol of love, peace, freedom, cohesion and understanding to the whole world through this concert:
