Countdown to the World Choir Games 2018 is running

10 days left to register for the world's largest choir competition

Choir registration for the 10th World Choir Games 2018 in South Africa is still open until December 1. The world’s largest choir competition – also known as the Olympics of Choral Music – will take place from July 4-14, 2018 celebrating its 10th anniversary event for the first time on the African continent. 

The World Choir Games are open to amateur choirs from all over the world. Two separate competitions reflect the spectrum of the choirs' levels of accomplishment and give every choir the opportunity to express its abilities in the right kind of competition:

Following the idea of the World Choir Games "Participation is the highest honor", all choirs, regardless of their present artistic level of achievement, have the opportunity to present themselves in the World Choir Games – The Open Competition and gather valuable experience in an international competition.

World Choir Games – The Champions Competition is designed for choirs which have corresponding international competitive experience and have already proven their abilities in concerts and international choral competitions.

Since the beginning of the World Choir Games in 2000 the event fascinates singers from all over the world every two years in different countries and on different continents.
Celebrating the 10th World Choir Games on the African continent and will once again put a new cultural flavor to this most popular choir competition in the world: Nine official languages in South Africa prove the variety of South African culture and its traditions – the World Choir Games in Africa will reflect all of this and inspire participants from all over the world.
