Boulevard Harmonists to enter the boulevards of Tshwane

First timer choir at the World Choir Games

World Choir Games 2018

Established in 1994 The Boulevard Harmonists is a 6-voice (mixed) a cappella ensemble founded by and still part of the Potchefstroom Campus of the North West University, South Africa. The group consists of three women and three men celebrating music and the joy of singing. The group's program consists of classical music of different styles, as well as popular and folk music, including a number of South African works.

Its founding was initiated specifically to perform at the Standard Bank National Arts Festival in Grahamstown. But their program turned out to be so successful that the group was made permanent, and many performances followed in different parts of the country. Since then the singers have also performed regularly in the three major national art festivals in South Africa, being in Grahamstown, the KKNK festival in Oudtshoorn and the Aardklop Festival in Potchefstroom.

The Boulevard Harmonists have entered and won several competitions and through the years appeared as guest artists at other festivals and competitions. The group has released five CDs and undertaken six successful concert tours in Europe with the seventh coming up!
