Loreto School Queenswood prepares for the World Choir Games 2018

World Choir Games 2018

176 Loreto schools in 12 countries on 6 continents make up a comprehensive international network from which the Senior Choir of the Loreto School Queenswood benefits: In 2017 e.g. they enthralled their audience at affiliated schools in Günzburg and Wallerstein in Germany at and this year they will touch their audience’s hearts at the World Choir Games 2018 in Tshwane. The Loreto schools are based on the principles of their religious foundress Mary Ward who founded the Sisters of Loreto and opened school for the Catholic education of girls in the 17th century.

This idea spread throughout the world and thus the Loreto School Queenswood was established in 1878. Focusing on a sound musical instruction of their pupils, the Senior Choir of the Loreto School Queenswood and their conductor Elana Neethling will perform in The Open Competition categories Young Children’s Choirs and Folklore with accompaniment. According to the school’s newsletter the singers have already learned most of their repertoire for their two performances - we keep our fingers crossed for a great performance!

Here you can listen to the dedicated young singers:
