Music as the common language of the world - choral singing as an unforgettable experience on a large international stage - that is the world of INTERKULTUR. For more than 30 years, we have been one of the world's leading organizers of international choral competitions. With our largest event, the World Choir Games - the "Olympics of Choirs" - we bring together music enthusiasts from all countries across cultures in fair, professionally organized competitions and festivals.
To strengthen our team for artistic conception, organization and implementation, we are now looking for a full-time employee as
Event Manager (m/f/d).
Your tasks:
- Event preparation, implementation and follow-up
- Preparation and evaluation of the submitted documents for submission to the Artistic Director
- Artistic supervision of the choirs from registration up to and including the event
- Organization and work with the international jury and choir experts
Your ideal profile:
- Completed university education or technical college degree in event management or comparable training
- Specialist knowledge in musicology or cultural organization
- Professional experience and sound knowledge in the organization of major events
- Interdisciplinary way of working: Ability to grasp the complexity of an event in all areas and take it into account in your own area of responsibility
- Language skills: Business fluent in written and spoken English and German as well as another foreign language desirable
- Basic knowledge of music theory, in particular the classification of choral works in different musical eras, including contemporary music
- Experience in intercultural cooperation
- Routine use of MS Office applications on the PC

After an appropriate familiarisation period in the INTERKULTUR headquarter in 35463 Fernwald, Germany, the work can be carried out mainly from the home office in your country.
