Social media has become the most popular place for choirs to promote themselves. And in 2024, TikTok stands out as the best place to reach younger audiences. On top of that, it’s the best place to make a name for yourself — because the platform will spread your content around even if you don’t have an enormous audience.

It also doesn’t hurt that great singing does well on the platform.

So, if your choir is looking to get big on social media, TikTok is probably the best place to start.

Here are some tips to help your choir shine on TikTok.

1. Understand Your Audience (They’re Young)

Not all great video content is great TikTok content. That’s because the app has a particular audience.

First and foremost, younger people make up the vast majority of users, though the app is slowly diversifying.

Hashtags are essential for increasing the discoverability of your content. But you want to use them responsibly. Putting in a bunch of popular but irrelevant hashtags will damage your account in the long run.
