The winning choirs have been announced! All participating choirs celebrated the results of the international choir competition at the renowned Internationales Chorfest Magdeburg during an exciting Awards Ceremony on Saturday afternoon. The singers looked back on exciting days full of musical passion and challenging competitions.

Category A1 – Mixed Choirs, Difficulty Level I

Category S – Sacred Choral Music a cappella

Copenhagen Girls' Choir, Denmark

With an overall score of 24.06 points in the category ‘Sacred choral music a cappella’, the Copenhagen Girls' Choir from Denmark (conducted by Anne-Terese Sales) secured the best result of the competition and received the “Festival Prize of the Saxony-Anhalt Choir Association”.

The Vivace Chamber Choir from Finland under the direction of Mia Makaroff received the ‘Prize of the Saxony-Anhalt Choir Association for the best interpretation of the choir festival motto “Finding new ways”’.
