The second edition of RIGA SINGS has come to a successful close! On Saturday afternoon a total of seven choirs from six nations were selected by the international jury to compete again in the final Grand Prize Competition for the Imants Kokars Choral Award.

After the competition, where each choir performed two pieces of own choice, which were not performed in the choir competition before, the jury decided to give the Grand Prize to the choir Youth Choir of Tallinn Music High School from Estonia. Congratulations! 

In the Awards Ceremony, a total of 14 Golden and 3 Silver Diplomas were awarded to the participating choirs.

A Special Prize was given to Youth Choir of Tallinn Music High School from Estonia for the best artistic performance. Julianna Tīruma, soloist in Riga Cathedral Choir School Gospel Choir was awarded a Special Prize for the best solo performance.
