Meet familiar faces at Voices for Peace in Assisi 2019

Russian Children's Choir "Echo" travels to the domain of St. Francis

VOICES FOR PEACE

If you join the 3rd edition of the Voices for Peace you might encounter familiar faces you already met at the World Choir Games, the International Anton Bruckner Choir Competition and Festival or the International Choir Competition and Festival Bad Ischl: The Russian Children choir ‘Echo’ is a regular guest at INTERKULTUR events all over the world and decided to enter new grounds in terms of country and event series. After Austria, Latvia and Russia, it will be a premiere for the singers to join the popular Italian choir festival and competition VOICES FOR PEACE in Perugia and Assisi from May 01-05, 2019.

Echo was established in 2005 at one of the oldest Schools of Music in Moscow. Children who are part of the ‘Echo’ choir learn to play different musical instruments and attend theoretical and choir classes. The main teacher and creator of the choir is Irina Ruvinskaya, choirmaster of the school and graduate of the Russian Academy of Music. The singers will perform in the category Children’s Choirs, one of the most popular categories throughout the different INTERKULTUR festivals. The capital of Umbria awaits the singers with its historic sites, ancient buildings and warm-hearted hospitality.
