“La dolce vita” is near: getting back to choral life!

11 choirs from 7 nations come together for Vox Lucensis in Lucca

Vox Lucensis - Concorso Corale Internazionale

The game is on again! After almost two years of pandemic, the international choir events are back on stage. From April 9-13, 2022 we’re happy to welcome 11 choirs from 7 diffferent nations for the international choir competition “Vox Lucensis - Concorso Corale Internazionale” in Lucca, Tuscany, birthplace of renowned composer Giacomo Puccini.

This first-ever edition of Vox Lucensis in Lucca was much awaited and both participating choirs and the organizers can’t wait to fill the stages of the city with the wonderful sounds of many different voices.

Lucca Mayor Alessandro Tambellini:

“Now life is resuming and with it the music that springs from the sharing of a time, a space, a vital spirit; the music that is capable of harmonic suggestions, capable of transcending borders and cultural differences to fill the soul of each person.”

And also INTERKULTUR President Günter Titsch hopes that this first INTERKULTUR choral event in 2022 will be a wonderful prelude to a new era of international choir events:

“Thank you to all the choirs of the world for the strength with which they are overcoming the many difficulties that still persist in the hope that this absurdly long season will finally come to an end in the expectation of being able to meet and hug again soon, perhaps even on the beautiful Tuscan stage.”
