It won't be long before choirs from all parts of the world will gather in Sochi, Russia, to sing along in peace and to bring the Olympic City of 2014 to sound. One choir, which significantly increased the diversity of participating nations, is the Boys' Choir "Sam Tet Voices" from Malaysia.

The Boys' Choir consists of more than 40 ambitious students of the SMJK Sam Tet school in Ipoh, Malaysia, which all share one passion: The love for music. Under the direction of three conductors, Ms. Susanna Saw, Mr. Ng Jin Keat and Mr. Terence Au., the choir attends numerous of competitions and festival every year.

"Sam Tet Voices" is the pride of the school and of the whole country. At national competitions of the school and at the "Perak State Level Choir Competition" in 2011 the choir received great results. Also in the subsequent years the singers defended their title and represented the Kinta district (located in Northern Malaysia). During national and international choir competitions such as the "Malaysian Choral Eisteddfod" or the "Hong Kong International Youth Music Festival", Sam Tet Voices won golden and silver diplomas. In the frame of the "4th International Choir Festival Bali" in July 2015, the ensemble was awarded Gold and a champion title in the category "Teenage Choir".

A series of self-organized school events and charity concerts in Ipoh, such as "The Choral Delights" and "Music Weaving Love" bear witness to the extraordinary commitment, which the choir invests beside the participation at numerous of competitions. With partner choirs from Germany, Sri Lanka, Australia and Singapore, the choir is engaged in a lively exchange and shares their love for music.
