Sing Along Concert Barcelona

September 14 - 17, 2023 Barcelona, Spain

For the next edition of our sing-along concert in Barcelona INTERKULTUR has engaged a famous star of the international choral scene: Eric Whitacre will work with the participating singers on some of his most popular compositions and conduct an incredible Closing Concert on the last day.

As always in Barcelona, the wonderful choir Orfeó Català will join the concert in the Palau de la Música Catalana for an unforgettable musical experience.

The 2023 Sing Along Concert is open to individual singers, as always, but also choirs that have Whitacre’s pieces in their repertoire, have the chance to take this unique chance to deepen their knowledge of these pieces together with the composer himself.

This is a singing opportunity not to be missed! Invite your friends, join us in Barcelona and start singing together – in the magnificent Palau de la Música Catalana under the baton of "choral music’s rock star" Eric Whitacre!

Barcelona is one of my favorite cities in the world and the chance to make music in an architectural masterpiece - the Catalan Art Nouveau Palau de la Música – is a dream. It is an honor to invite you to come and sing a programme of my music alongside Orfeó Català choir in this iconic building, and to spend a few days in Barcelona, a city steeped in culture, fashion and cuisine (not to mention football and the amazing beaches!). I’d love to see you there.

"I joined for the first time, 2 friends of mine got me hooked on it! I want to thank you! It was so wonderful, I didn’t dare hope that the conductor would guide 1000 singers so well! This resulted from the preparation of each individual singer, the motivation, concentration and also the charisma of Simon Halsey! A wonderful singing experience!"

Ulrike Kiesselbach, Germany (Sing Along Vienna 2016)

"I want to thank you for the opportunity to participate in the Sing Along Concert Vienna with the Berlin Radio Choir. I have just had the most beautiful choral experience of my life! It has been my dream to sing with a proper orchestra, and Interkultur made that dream come true!"

Okechukwu Bede Okoro, Nigeria (Sing Along Vienna 2016)

"A big thanks to you and the whole Interkultur team for organising the Sing Along Concert in Vienna! Everything worked out well and minor problems were solved in a very professional way! It was really fantastic how everything worked, especially the logistics on Sunday evening!"

Astrid Kleinau-Kleffe, Germany (Sing Along Vienna 2016)
